It is in the nature of people that they love beauty, and meeting them with a beautiful appearance is one of the signs of good dealing with them. And if every person was asked: Do you like others to meet you with a decent, beautiful appearance, or with an ugly one? He would have answered with a beautiful appearance, of course - Would this not be a motive for appearing in a decent and beautiful appearance? Moreover, a decent appearance is a healthy state of one's happiness, and in addition to that, it makes others happy. What is required in a good appearance is to maintain moderation in it.
Decent appearance does not mean that one goes to excess in beautification, adornment, and dress, but rather that a moderate limit is what is required, because excess in that makes the means a goal, and this is not true, and one can appear in a decent appearance among people by possessing the minimum amount of dress, even if it is not new, In addition to observing hygiene.

And there are many honorable hadiths that mean cleaning, adorning, beautifying, perfuming, and appearing in a decent appearance in front of people, because these matters are closely related to human worship, health, elegance, and dealing with people, so in order for a person to treat people well, he must appear decent.
