Do you feel that you are unbalanced in your style? You deal with others with great kindness and respect outside the home but when you enter your home, your style changes to something rude and harsh?
Why?? Let us look into your depths a little:
Do you feel that there is pain inside you? Do you feel a constriction in your chest?
As soon as you enter, your face changes from smiling to a frown. What do you want to say to your family after a half-day of work?
Do you want to complain to them about your fatigue and trouble, but you are not good at translating that??
Why don't you try another way of expressing that? How making the atmosphere of the house to be filled with joy and happiness, isn’t it easy for you to carry things that they love with you?
Even if they are simple and cheap, a few sweets, fruits or toys, attractive accessories for your daughters or your wife, cheap home clothes, carry them and try to hide them as you enter, then let them gather around you and enter with them into a competition that will make them more attracted and excited towards you, such as asking them: Which of them provided domestic service, helped his mother, or helped someone at home?
In order to receive the precious gifts first, or who among you took the initiative today to pay attention to arranging his bed? Or which of you has memorized something from the Holy Qur’an, and so on.
Imagine how much the atmosphere will turn into fun and excitement, as if you have come from a far away journey, and how much this atmosphere will relieve you of the pressures of work and fatigue and you will feel relieved and energetic!!?? Don't you feel that this would be useful in changing your state of being from being rude and harsh in your style to being open and happy? The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and his family, said:
“Whoever enters the market and buys a souvenir and carries it to his family is like someone carrying charity to a people in need, and he should start with the females before the males, for whoever makes a daughter happy, it is as if he freed a slave from the descendants of Ishmael.”
