«In the beginning, the child did not know anything about the surroundings that surrounded him, but soon he was born in the same special relationship with the things around him and the people around him, and among these people the mother is considered the closest to the human being, as it is considered in most cultures the most important person that a person sees throughout his life. Then comes the father after the mother in terms of importance, then the rest of the family members, and in such a limited circle, the human thought and mind are refined to enter into a real life, and from here it is not surprising that psychologists, sociologists, and psychoanalysts give all this importance to the first years of the child’s life ».

 “The family circle expands to include friends, and then it expands more and more to include school friends, teachers, and many others from outside the family circle, and each of them has an impact on making the child a social human being.”

The child and the behavior of others:

Cooley says in his book “Human Nature and Social Order”: Man reveals himself through contact with his family members, and this knowledge comes through observing the behavior of others towards oneself. It means that the child reveals himself in the first place, and then determines his status as a human being by evaluating the perception of others and their behavior towards him. That is why Cooley considered the child's perception of himself as a mirror of his personality.

The American psychologist Stanley Hall believes that even the way a child is called by his family members or friends may have a significant impact on his perception of himself. The child whose mother calls him “the angel” has a perception of himself that differs greatly from that of a child whose mother calls him “the despicable.”

 

Conscious education:

Social morals, good or bad, as well as the characteristics of familiarity with the environment, penetrate into the depths of man, and his readiness for social harmony emerges through two factors, the first is the factor of awareness and perception, and the second is the factor of unawareness and misperception.

Some of these social traits are sought by educators and those around the child to teach them and remind them over and over again. These traits would penetrate into the depths of the child through the factor of perception and awareness, and little by little the child gets used to them and makes them a basis in his social life, such as a mother saying to her son, Be clean, wash Your hands and your face, sit well in front of others, do not be talkative, or the teacher says to his student, do not mess with the bag of your colleagues, do not hurt your comrades, respect your teacher, be polite in your class and so on.

Unconscious education:

Others are traits that the child acquires without awareness or will from the family environment, the school, the alley, and the neighborhood, without anyone knowing it and without his desire, for example, if the nature of fear and cowardice dominates the parents at home, or the parents believe in superstitions and delusions, or the teacher in school has bad manners, if the nature of injustice dominates the neighbors and comrades, then the child will inevitably fall under these influences from where he does not know or desire and he becomes a cowardly person who believes in superstitions, with foul manners and an unjust tongue, and on the basis of that his social nature is formed.

Personal foundations:

It must be said that the environment of the family, the school, the alley, and the neighborhood have a great influence in shaping the child’s morals and nature, and this environment, regardless of whether his situation is healthy or ill, forms the foundations of the child’s personality, and opens up his social preparations for him and adapt to his surroundings.
