Neurodevelopmental approaches

Further research led me to find out more about the neuro-developmental approach to supporting learning. This approach aims therapy at the lowest level of identified dysfunction, and ‘attempts to build links from lower to higher centers, through the use of specific stimulation techniques’ (Goddard, 2002: xv). I visited the Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology, run by Peter Blythe and Sally Goddard for further training. The program I learnt cannot be described in the pages below, because it needs to be taught by qualified trainers.
