Perhaps the most important goal to be achieved in marriage is to achieve a state of stability at all levels, psychologically, spiritually, and materially. This is done in light of the shared life in which the spouses must work to achieve that state and strive to make it permanent.
It is proven in conscience and experience that the husband is a home for the wife, and vice versa, she is a home for her husband, and the embodiment of this cohabitation and tranquility is evident in the event that the winds of crises blow and the waves of life violently crash, and one of the spouses feels a danger threatening his being, they resort to each other. Some people seek to provide a state of security that enables them to face life and move forward.
Emotions and feelings of love, compassion, and togetherness should grow in the family so that the children can find all those lofty human meanings supported by the upright and moderate religious vision...
The husband - the man - even if his nature is endurance and perseverance and possesses sharpness and firmness in specific areas, but the only thing that heals his wound is the tenderness of his wife, so the noble wife must show her psychological sympathy for him. Because she is closest to him even than the mother, despite her great tenderness, the wife is able to penetrate a man’s heart just as a mother does to her young son.
If the family lacks these emotions and feelings in the home, this means that there is a defect in the pumping of emotions and love by the spouses, and the relationships of the family members will become meaningless.
That is why it is stated in the Holy Book:
{And among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may find tranquility in them, and He placed between you affection and mercy.}
The ideal relationship between spouses should be based on affection, compassion, love and kindness. Each spouse should have compassion for each other so that this is reflected in all members of the family and love always prevails.
Also, the lack of dialogue and communication between spouses, and the dominance of routine over the marital relationship, may lead to the atmosphere of marital life turning into a formal relationship that lacks all the meanings of love and affection that should prevail in the family and ensure the continuation and success of marital and family life.
