In some Eastern traditions, the teacher or "man of wisdom" is referred to as the mentor or spiritual teacher. He is the person you can turn to for advice and evidence.
And if you have a spiritual mentor or mentor in your life - a coach, counselor, or even just a friend - how lucky you are, because it is really wonderful to have someone in your life to give you a helping hand.
