Imam Al-Jawad, (PBUH) said: He who has confidence in Allah, sees joy; and he who trusts on Him, He will suffice his affairs.

Imam as-Sadiq (PBUH) said: There are three things which are the honour of a believer and his ornament both in this world and the next. They are: prayers in the last part of night (night prayers), not coveting what people possess in their hands, and the love of an Imam from the progeny of Muhammad (peace be upon them).

Human research also suggests that manganese and copper are vital to bone strength.

A one-year study in postmenopausal women with weak bones found that taking a supplement with manganese and copper, as well as vitamin D, calcium and other nutrients, improved bone mass.

Fava beans are rich in manganese and copper — two nutrients that may prevent bone loss.

Their exact role in bone health is unclear, but rat studies suggest that manganese and copper deficiencies may lead to decreased bone formation and increased calcium excretion.

Fava beans contain compounds that have been shown to boost antioxidant activity of human cells in test-tube studies. Since antioxidants enhance immune function, eating fava beans may boost immunity, but more research is needed.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) told Gabriel to preach to him, and he said: Live howsoever you like but you will surely die; love whatsoever you like but you will surely depart from it; do whatsoever you likThe Messenger of Allah (PBUH) told Gabriel to preach to him, and he said: Live howsoever you like but e but you will certainly meet it (and receive its reward). The honour of a (Muslim) believer is his midnight prayers, and his nobility is his refraining from (ruining) the reputation of people.

One test-tube study found that treating human lung cells with extracts from fava beans increased their antioxidant activity by up to 62.5%.

In addition, fava beans contain compounds that have been shown to enhance the ability of the powerful antioxidant glutathione in human cells and delay cellular aging.

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Never miss midnight prayers, because, in fact, the real loser is he who misses (the advantage of) the midnight prayer.

Regularly eating fava beans may boost your immune system.

In particular, they’re rich in compounds that may enhance antioxidant activity. Antioxidants are critical to your body’s immune defense, as they fight free radicals that may lead to cell damage and disease.

Imam Ali (PBUH) said: He who sleeps too much at night, will lose something of his deeds (i.e., night prayers) which he cannot gain during the day-time.

With 40% of the DV for folate in just one cup (170 grams), fava beans are an excellent choice for pregnant women.

Fava beans are loaded with folate, a nutrient that promotes proper brain and spinal cord development in infants. Adequate folate intake in pregnant women can help prevent neural tube defects.

The Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him and His Progeny) said: The honour of a believer lies in his vigilance at night and his esteem lies in his autonomy from people.
