The Color of Transparent Bodies, viewed by transmitted light, depends upon the color that they transmit. If a body transmits all colors equally, it is colorless. If it transmits one color only, - yellow, for example, - then it will have that color; but if it transmits several, its color will be that, which results from combining the transmitted colors in the relative amounts in which they are transmitted.
