We meet many people, some of them are extroverted and some of them are withdrawn, and we often tend towards the easy-going, cheerful person, and we are attracted to his methods of fun and humor. Rather, we find that the cheerful, joking person is successful in his social relationships and is friendly and gets along with others, while the withdrawn person is repulsed by people and they cannot stand his nature...
In order to make your personality cheerful and known for humor among your friends, you must know the ways and means to have a sense of humor in order to succeed in your social relationships and be loved: -
- Charge yourself Always with positive thoughts: so that you are psychologically prepared to spread the spirit of optimism and fun wherever you are; "The believer is cheerful " as the hadith says, so the believer should be characterized by a spirit of fun and humor. The Noble Prophet - may Allah bless him and his family - says: (The believer is playful and cheerful, and the hypocrite is angry and irritated).
- Learn a lot of jokes that are free of obscenity, vulgarity, triviality, and aggression against others; because if a joke contains inappropriate content, it is considered a spread of vice and indecency.
- Look at the sarcastic side of the subject; some situations need an initiative to lighten the atmosphere and look at the entertaining image in it.
- Mix with cheerful people and those who have a sense of humor; Morals are affected by companionship. How many depressed and frustrated people feel cheerful and comfortable when they sit with someone who has a cheerful spirit and a sense of humor? Their conditions change and they are affected by the qualities of this cheerful person.
- Read, study and watch to acquire a sense of humor. There are many things we were not good at performing, but with knowledge and practice we were able to assume the role and master the skill. Likewise, praiseworthy joking is possible for the individual to assume joking and humor little by little.
- Do not cross the line; Respect is the dividing line and the main axis in any joke. Otherwise, crossing the line is considered bad manners. Muammar bin Khallad asked Imam al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) about the talk that takes place between people, where they joke and laugh. He (peace be upon him) said: There is no problem as long as it is not obscene. I thought that he meant obscenity. Then he said: The Bedouin would come to the Messenger of Allah - may Allah bless him and his family - and give him a gift, then he would say in his place: Give us the price of our gift, and the Messenger of Allah - may Allah bless him and his family - would laugh, and if he was sad he would say: What did the Bedouin do? I wish he had come to us.
