Jealousy is a negative characteristic if it exceeds its limit in children. If parents do not address it in their children, it will take root and thus the child will turn into a person whose behavior is characterized by hostility and selfishness.
These are recommendations and guidelines:
The first recommendation: We direct you to stop:
1- Expressing your noticeable interest in the younger child in front of your older child.
2- And about justifying your preoccupation with his little brother by preparing his food or clothes, for example.
3- And yelling at the older child when he tried to get close to his little brother.
The second recommendation: We direct you to take the initiative to:
Meeting the needs of the little boy in the absence of his big brother.
Make the focus of your attention on your eldest child when you all sit down.
Leave your preoccupation with the little one and respond to the call of your older child and fulfill his request.
A final recommendation: Pay attention:
To giving attention to your little one in the presence of your older child while involving both of them
A successful experience: Children’s hearts are pure white, so take your eldest child with you to the market and involve him in buying gifts for his little brother to give to him, and direct him to place them in his hands in an atmosphere of encouragement and welcome so that he realizes the value of his positive behavior and is compassionate towards his little brother and a relationship of affection is established between them.
