The necessity of patience in marital life

Married life cannot coexist with pampering. It requires a patient person to be able to go through the experience successfully, but those who lack patience, ultimately fail at the first problem they encounter, therefor they should leave the pampering aside so that they can face the trouble.

Those who failed in their marital life and those who drowned in the midst of conflicts and disagreements with their spouses lacked one thing, which is patience and endurance.

In our literature - as Muslims - we find great interest in patience, as the Holy Qur’an urges patience in all aspects of life, and our great Prophet commands us to be patient. We also find this issue taking a wide aspect in the hadiths of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and his sermons.

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his progeny) said: (Whoever is patient with her husband’s bad behavior, God will give her a reward similar to Asiyah bint Muzahem).
