Loose Connective Tissue-Vestibular Fold
The loose connective tissue has no specific constant form. As interstitial connective tissue , it f ills the crevices and spaces between specific components ( parenchyme ) of an organ, occupies the gaps between bundles of muscle fibers or separates the lobes of glands from each other, for example. The loose connective tissue can therefore be seen as a filling material. At the same time, it fulfills diverse metabolic functions. It provides a service reservoir of water and ascertains elasticity for the relative movement of tissues. One of its very important roles is in tissue regeneration. Loose connective tissue consists of local (fixed) cells, the f ibrocytes, collagen fibers, elastic and reticular fibers. Reticular fibers go in all directions and f ill the spaces. In the amorphous ground substance are numerous free cells, especially cells that mediate the immune response. This preparation is from the sub epithelial connective tissue of the larynx ( vestibular fold ). Numerous blood vessels 1 are present in connective tissue.
