■ understand how school processes and procedures may provide barriers to disabled students learning in your workplace setting;

■ understand how important it is to encourage independence for all learners;

■ recognize how important it is to have effective partnerships with parents of disabled children;

■ understand how important it is that disabled learners take responsibility for their learning.
