Be confident

Don't underestimate yourself. If you don't have confidence, you can't do anything.

Steve Blass was a leading hitter on a baseball club in 1972. He was actually one of the best players. A year later he was out of the game. Did he get injured? No. Did anything change? One thing did. Steve Blass lost confidence. As he said, "When I lost confidence, I lost it forever." He started thinking about all the things that could go wrong, and suddenly it happened.

Steve Blass didn't believe he could be a leading hitter on the club anymore, and before he knew it, he wasn't a leading player.

The ability to do anything must be coupled with the belief that we can do it.

Knowing how to know is as important as knowing how to do it.

There's an old saying, "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right either way."

It has been proven across the ages and in all groups that a strong belief in our own abilities increases life satisfaction by 30%, and makes us happier in our home and work lives.
