In order to correct the moral deficiency in children, we sometimes benefit from negative procedures, and the purpose is to force the child to abandon bad morals, and these methods include the following:
First: Depriving the child of playing for a short period, as well as love, food and things that he has a strong relationship with, and in this treatment we must take into account the issue of age and gender.
Second: Not caring for the child in places where we feel that he has resorted to pampering and parental love to benefit from it as a bridge to achieve an inappropriate or illegitimate goal.
Third: Reprimanding and reprimanding the child in cases where we see that there is no benefit in advice and guidance. Sometimes the child shows behavior contrary to what we ask of him, and advice and preaching are of no use to deter him from his deviation, so here we must resort to reprimand and punishment.
Fourth: Leaving the child in a way that disrupts the relationship, so that he feels that his bad deeds and disobedience caused him to be deprived of the love of his father and mother. And so that he feels the meaning of bad work, disobedience and shameful behavior.
Fifth: Threatening and warning in a way that makes him feel that the alarm bell has rung with his committing the bad work, and he must retract his action, and be forced to correct his mistake.
Sixth: Punishment means directing a blow to the child's body. Of course, this blow should not cause any effect, redness or blueness on the child's face, such that it requires paying blood money. We must remember that the basis of education is love, and punishment is an urgent and exceptional matter.
The ratio between love and punishment is like the ratio between food and medicine. The basis is to eat food, while medicine is in urgent cases. Warning must be rational, and of course, punishment for juveniles is considered a means of forcing them to abandon bad deeds.
