If you want your son to kiss his brother instead of hitting him, you must follow the following rules:
First: Know when to kiss your children
You must treat your children equally in distributing kisses. This means that if you kiss one of your children in the presence of his younger brothers, then you must turn to them and kiss them as well. If you do not do that, then be aware that by doing so, you have planted the seeds of envy and watered the tree of aggression among them.
Second: Show the importance of the brother to his brother
If you want love and affection to prevail among your children, then all you have to do is show the importance of the brother to his brother. You should tell your children the story of the Prophet Moses when he said: {And appoint for me a helper from my family, Aaron, my brother. Strengthen me through him, and let him share in my task}. In this way, you will have made your son feel the importance of his brother.
Third: Water the tree of love between them
A father who is successful in raising children is the one who embodies love between his children, and waters and irrigates it all the time by following methods that increase love and affection between them; such as pushing the children to give each other gifts, and urging the children to visit and communicate with each other, as there is nothing that strengthens the relationship and love between brothers like visiting.
Third: Encourage them to shake hands and embrace each other
Fourth: Eliminate injustice and envy among them
Search for the causes and motives of hatred and discord among children, then uproot them in their infancy before they grow and develop, and plant in their place the flowers of affection and brotherhood.
Fifth: Make dialogue and understanding a means to solve problems
Parents are responsible for creating the atmosphere, customs and traditions in the family, so parents should not forget to teach their children the habit of dialogue and understanding in the event of a verbal conflict between them.
Sixth: Teach them the rights of brothers
A brother is neither a king nor a prophet, but rather a human being who makes mistakes and right things, and it is his right that his brother forgives his mistakes, overlooks his sins, continues to advise him and loves for him the good that he loves for himself.
