It is unfortunate that some parents give their children a lecture when they break their toys, including scolding, harsh words, and other details such as the toy and its value.
Some parents may even get so emotional that they hit their child for these things!
Many parents do this for the sake of psychological release, and it is certainly not a correct method, and is considered an uneducational procedure.
So what should we do? And what does the child need in this case?
It is very important: to know that your child needs your sympathy and consolation, and to embrace him and ease his sadness and pain..
He will understand carefully how to preserve the toy because it is everything to him, and it is a source of his pleasure and joy.
When it breaks, he breaks with it in sadness and pain, because it is important to him as important as your car is to you. If you were to have an accident with your car – may Allah forbid - you would naturally be sad.. Would you like someone to hit you or scold you while you are in this condition? ... Or at least your father blames you or someone gives you a lesson in the arts of leadership?
Of course, it will increase your sadness and pain and double your regret, as you need someone to wipe away your pain and remove your sadness, and restore your self-confidence with a gentle, soft word, with deep understanding and precise awareness...
Therefore, my dear educator, what you need in this case is the same as what your child needs when he breaks his toy or loses his money or something else.
