The process of the nation’s advancement does not happen by chance and is not fulfilled by wishes, sermons, speeches and slogans. Rather, it is a precise process that has its circumstances, foundations, and anchors its civilized conditions, for which all human energies, capabilities and elements that have knowledge, awareness and sincerity to the nation must be mobilized in order to work to provide those conditions and prepare These foundations and conditions, and here are the most important of these conditions and pillars:

Self-confidence

An important pillar on which we must build and start in the process of advancement is self-confidence, as it is the basic basis for the advancement and progress of nations. This fragmented and distressed reality that we live in should not give us a state of despair or lead us to frustration, and the problem of some people is that they want to carry out a critical review of their history and heritage under the weight of psychological and moral defeat and out of a sense of inferiority.

The beginning of the collapse of nations and their retreat is the beginning of their loss of self-confidence. The pioneering nations that are destined to survive are those that are not ashamed of their affiliation, do not erase their memory, and do not forget their victories. Some advocates of change do not hide their opinions on this issue, as they call on Muslims to make a break with their heritage, and move towards the future, devoid of all the psychological, cultural and social influences of this heritage! Thus, some want us to be a nation without memory, to make us forget even our contemporary victories and remove from our dictionary memories of glory and dignity. Those who are ashamed of their present or their bright past, or who forget this present and that past, are working whether they feel or not to keep this nation on the sidelines and in the shadows.

History, with its norms and gifts, is the basis for moving towards the future, and the nation that is ashamed of its history is fleeing from itself, and such a nation will not succeed, and therefore we find that the well-known zyara of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) evokes this historical extension of the Imam (peace be upon him), “Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Adam, the chosen one of Allah, peace be upon you, O inheritor of Noah, the prophet of Allah, peace be upon you, O inheritor of Abraham, the friend of Allah, peace be upon you, O inheritor of Moses, the interlocutor of Allah, peace be upon you, O inheritor of Jesus, the spirit of Allah, peace be upon you, O inheritor of Muhammad, the beloved of Allah..”, Imam Hussein (Peace be upon him) is not an accidental figure, he is a line extended and entrenched in the depths of history, and so we, as a nation, are neither accidental nor abnormal horizons, we are a nation with its glorious history and distinct civilizational contributions.

In light of this, the discourse of change must move away from the practice of criticism in the manner of self-flagellation that does not leave a glimmer of hope among the people of the nation, and destroys what exists without presenting alternatives. It will worsen the problem of self-confidence, and this point constitutes a pillar in the process of mobilizing the nation.
